  4.  Subscribe via email
I cannot get the User Registration Plugin to work. I receive the following error, no matter how I adjust the settings.
COM_CMC_SUBSCRIBE_FAILED 400: The resource submitted could not be validated. For field-specific details, see the 'errors' array.

I receive the error when editing a profile both front end and back end. In the plugin the list is selected, the required fields are selected under fields. When editing, I check the box and enter an email address.

I have tried leaving fields blank and using the field mapping for email (the only required field), and receive the same error.

I have added the module selecting the list and attempting to select the field and use a field mapping. Under fields in the module, email shows as COM_CMC_EMAIL*. If this is selected I can get the module to allow me to subscribe and unsubscribe. I cannot get the first or last name fields to map when using the email in fields.

With the module on the page and the plugin enabled. When I am subscribed, it shows on the plugin when editing. I am unable to unsubscribe from the plugin.

I am not sure if this is a compatibility problem with other plugins, but I have disabled everything one at a time to troubleshoot with no change in the results.

In the registration plugin you have the same settings as in the module. Make sure that you select all required fields in the registration plugin. It sounds like you are missing fields.

Focusing on just the plugin (module disabled), and only the fields, not the field mappings.
-Mailchimp only has EMAIL as a field on the list, first name and last name are not listed.
-List is sync'd into CMC in Joomla.
-CMC user plugin in Joomla only shows Email as an option in the Fields pick list.
-Joomla front end, user edits profile, the box is checked for Newsletter and an email entered. When saving the profile I receive the "COM_CMC_SUBSCRIBE_FAILED 400: The resource submitted could not be validated. For field-specific details, see the 'errors' array." error.
-In the plugin, if I select email as a field and do a mapping for FNAME and LName, I can edit the profile, enter the email and it will save/subscribe. But First name and Last Name are not passed through the field mapping (They dont seem to exist anywhere except for the manual field mapping.
-Unsubscribe or un-checking the newsletter box does not seem to work either.

Everything appears as though it is not linking properly or passing fields correctly.

Hey Robert,
Sorry, but I'm not really understanding this. If you only have email on the list - why are doing a field mapping on first-name, last-name? the only thing you should do a field mappign for would be the email?
