All the normal messages come up in the correct language when people subscribe but I am getting some odd messages in English on the German site. Where do these messages come from? It comes up on my clients browser, I can't seem to recreate this behaviour.

"You are already subscribed to our newsletter." <- this has classes so I can style it no problem
"If you wish to change your subscription click here" <- no classes
I did see that the "default language" of the lists in CMC is set as "en" but I can't find anywhere to change this in the Component or even on Mailchimp.

But you could also do a template override of tmpl/signed.php and add your classes if you want to have one.
