Hi Gadareth,

just to keep you updated - not sure why this is happening on your page, locally it works fine. Need to debug it more.

Hello Hyves,
I tried with IE 8.0 to access the home demo of Tiles.
Even on your demo site occurs that the images appear black and passing the mouse over the images appear.
you can see it in the movie at:
http://www.gadareth.it/listing/tiles/Tiles-modern.avi
This happens even from my office computer (IE 8.0 also).
Can you please help me understand what's wrong?

Hey Gadareth,
I just tested our demo page with IE8 and it is working for me. Attached is a screenshot as a proof. I haven't hovered on any image - they were loaded per default.

In my opinion there is something wrong with your IE settings? Running in compatibility mode or too high security settings or just a buggy installation.

Regards,
Daniel

Also thinking on this a little more - I would look at your site statistics. Currently IE has around 11% market share. Out of those 11% only 4 are running IE8.
http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_explorer.asp

The number is dropping every month so within the next 6 months very few people are actually going to use that browser. If I were you - I would check my statistics and on the base of them would decide what to do.

for us on compojoom we have less than 0.5% people who are with IE8, so we decided to drop the support for IE8 on our site. Check what the stats say about your site and maybe a better solution would be to let IE8 know that they are running outdated browser and they should install something better.

Regards,
Daniel
