Resolved Spam control with ECC Plus

Hi,

I'm getting spam registrations on my MailChimp subscribe form. I just downloaded ECC Plus and I'm hoping it will work for my site registrations; however, I was wondering if this will also work for my subscribe form. Is there any way to integrate ECC Plus with CMC MailChimp? If not, is there another suggestion?

I'm not sure why I'm getting spam. I deleted the address last night, and it showed up again this morning. I chatted with MailChimp today and they were puzzled as well. Funny thing is, I cannot "report" the email as spam to MailChimp because they don't have that feature. I Googled the email address, and it's definitely on a few spam lists. Customer support said the only way to handle this is to create a static segment that holds this address (let's hope it's the only one), and never send to that segment.

Hey John,
I don't think so. The form that we have in module is a representation of the form that you create in mailchimp. And according to this:

They don't provide any captcha. But my question -> why do you get spam? If you have double opt-in then users should not land on your list as registered? And for sure mailchimp will sort any emails that have been reported as spam.
