I have set sh404sef to use joomla router for CMC, to now avail.

I think this is the correct location and I do see a space.


I added a dash and now the unsubscribe link is working:


Its a little odd and I'm not sure whats going on but at least its working now.

Can you look in mailchimp in your form. What's the unsubscribe link there? is transition consultants written with - there?
I'm unsure. I've taken the name and am outputing it directly to build the unsubscribe url, but maybe I need to replace any spaces with a minus.

It appears I need to track down where the space is in the url.

ie : transition%20consultants
should be:
transitionconsultants

Is this at mailchimp or CMC and where?

One step closer....

I subscribed. Then tried to subscribe again so that I can try the link. Now I get the email after clicking the link but the link in the email is not working.

This has nothing to do with the router actually. The problem is that your template doesn't have a hide class. So the message is being shown.
add a

.hide {
display: none;
}


And the message shouldn't show anymore.
