Hello, when I click the smiley button in the comment form, I get

Do you have a template overrride for ccomment? Or have you disabled the emoticons in the settings of ccomment. There is no trace of the smilies in the code of th epage.

Something was wrong with the installation. I installed 5.3.8 again and now it is fine.
