Do you mean the mailchimp list on your site? Or the mailchimp list on mailchimp?
If it is the mailchimp list on mailchimp, then I would suggest submitting a support ticket with mailchimp as I don't have any influence on what their site does.

If it is the list that gets synced with your site, then I can have a look.

Actually both the lists. The one showing in my sites backend under component->CMC->users and in Mailchimp.

However I am getting a mail saying the subscription is confirmed.

It seems that mailchimp list is getting updated properly but the CMC list of users in joomla is not. Do i have to click on the first sync button?

Have you configured the webhook?

yes webhooks url has been entered in component CMC-> dashboard-> options-> Main settings ->webhooks text fleid. the URL reads something like this http://www.xxxx.xxxx/index.php?option=com_cmc&format=raw&task=webhooks.request&key=xxxaxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

Please make sure that the url entered for the webhooks is correct and accessible through the web. I've made this mistake myself - I've copied a space too much in the webhooks field and that was creating an invalid link.

I have checked on Mailchimp site for updation by webhooks using API (this was not checked earlier) . I tried a new subscription it shows on Mailchimp but still no show on the CMC list of users. Is there a lag on this?

Tried accessing the webhooks URL and got the following error. Is the issue with permissions of this folder public_html/libraries/joomla/log/loggers?
