I use CComment on a site that is only getting the odd comment here and there. What I have discovered is that the notification for the comments don't always trigger. When I login to the site, suddenly a couple of comments will show up in my email and those comments can be several days or even weeks old.

I need some 'best practices' advice on what to do to ensure the comment notifications are coming to me as the admin. I took a look at the article E-Mail notifications and Mail Queue but I don't see or understand the cron job information in that article.

Do I have to set up a cron job myself on the server?
