Hi,

I have received a number of fake/spam users on my CMC Mailchimp User list. We have also had been hacked recenetly and I am wondering if the two are related.

Can anyone tell me
a) whether fake /spam user once subscribed can somehow access the site and hack the system
b) By deleting fake users will this prevent them from coming back?
c) How do you prevent fake users signing up.

Any advice would be gratefully received. This is a matter of urgency for the business I work for.

Thank you,

Zina

a) fake users can land in the database of the component on the site, but fake users won't land on the mailchimp list at self. As far as I am aware one is not able to use the subscription form to hack the system.
b) no
c) can't really, but it's not an issue as mailchimp is filtering them anyway.

Regards,
Daniel
