When I try to access the template manager (click on the template name in styles page) in Joomla 3.0 I get the following error:

Could not connect to resource: https://compojoom.com/index.php?option=com_ars&view=update&task=stream&format=xml&id=13&dummy=extension.xml

How do I fix this?

Hey Fraank,
Access your database with phpmyadmin and navigate to the #__update_sites, find the row with the url to the compojoom server and set enabled for this row to 0.
