hi there,
sorry if i posted this into the wrong place. i just installed the latest version of cmc mailchimp for joomla. my webhook url is in mailchimp. i've put in my api key into settings. all appears ok. list is there and users appear to be fine aslo but i cannot get rid of the error message in the dashboard screen Error loading feed data.

can anyone help me get rid of this message?

Are you on your localhost? Your server can't properly handle https urls and that is why the feed module, which reads our blog and shows you the latest news in your backend is throwing this error. You can ignore it, or go to the module manager and disable the cmc newsfeed module (administrator module)
