I am using Chronoforms for contact forms and whatnot. This component generates emails manually using the PHP mail() function. The component allows me to define SMTP credentials to send the emails and by inputting my Mandrill SMTP settings I am able to get the emails sending through Mandrill. However, the problem in doing this is that my global template which is defined in CMandrill is not applied.
I'm assuming this is due to this obnoxious component not sending emails the normal Joomla way - however I've never coded a component so I do not know what the proper method is... neither here nor there. Is there any light someone can shed on this? Is there a hidden form field I can add to generate a tag in Mandrill so that I can use a rule on Mandrill to apply a template since this component doesn't use the CMandrill extension to send its emails?
I greatly appreciate any and all help. Let me know if additional details are needed - I apologize ahead of time for omitting anything crucial.
