Resolved CSS edit to style field samptext for more contrast

Howdy Daniel - I'm wanting to style the text for this CMC module so I get more contrast than now (see screenshot)
I'd like the text color #4e4e4e
I have found the css file in Media>mod_cmc>css, but my overrides have not worked as expected - maybe my ineptitude at CSS :oops:
Any help appreciated.

Which version of the extension are you using? This should be a standard placeholder in the latest version.
