The error is when you try to search for updates. Your server is not properly configured and it cannot handle https (secured) urls.

I cannot imagine that the component will conflict in any way with the gantry configuration page as the component is not executed in the backend.

I had the same problem with the extension jfbconnect.
The solution was to fix the XML sourcecoast its component.

I have another site with another FrameWork and the problem does not occur.

The problem can only be conflict with the gantry

Can help me disable the part of the extension that makes the search for uptade.

It may be a temporary solution for me.

I have two sites, and they are all going the same problem of the conflict.

I just need to disable the automatic update of the extension that is in conflict with Joomla.

login with phpmyadmin in the db:
go to #__update_sites and set the value for enabled to 0 (on the update url for our site).
