Once the cmc-Mailchimp app is configured successfully, should it work instantly once a user subscribes to the Newsletter?

That is, is there a lag between the setup time on Mailchimp and a website, for the app to start working?

I am using a web server e-mail address on my Newsletter list in mailchimp.

p.s. I am checking this app out, so I am a newbie here, read the documentation, have the webhooks from cmc-mailchimp in Mailchimp and the API key from mailchimp in cmc-mailchimp app. The cmc mailchimp is synchronized.

Created a user with gmail e-mail address, no confirmation that I have subscribed to the Newsletter.
