Hello,
We are facing the folowing error:
Call to a member function get() on null

In the log file:
Uncaught exception 'Error' with message 'Call to a member function get() on null' in (server_path)/components/com_comment/views/comments/view.html.php:21

Please tell us if there is something that we could do.
Thank you in advance

It isn't nice, but it is normal. You don't have any functionality directly under option=com_comment -> you need other parameters in the request. What's happening exactly? We are not generating an url like this normally.
Please if you use our extensions be so kind and review them at JED

Hello again,
On a fresh installation once we call this url:
index.php?option=com_comment

We get the same error, is it normal?

Which version of the comment system are you using? I scanned our database for josctask, but there is no such thing anymore. Maybe you guys have a custom template with a hardcoded link to the RSS function?

Regards,
Daniel

Hello again,
The request is:
component/com_comment/contentid,1147/josctask,rss/no_html,1/plugin,com_componentname/
I could also reproduce the issue with a request like:
index.php?option=com_comment

Does something needed in custom component's configuration?

Did you make a custom template or a template override?

line 21 is this:

$commentTemplate = $this->config->get('template.template', 'default');

calling get on null actually should mean that this config is not defined, which it should be. What component is that? Do you have a configuration for this component in ccomment settings?

Regards,
Daniel
