I set up CMC - Mailchimp for Joomla on Joomla! 2.5.6.
my website is reachable through the web (not an intranet or localhost).
when come to CMC Configuration page, in webhooks key field, i inserted my key then i click save, next, i copied adjacent url, and pasted into:
https://compojoom.com/media/com_docimport/cmc/images/webhooks-add.PNG
then click on "Add Webhook.
But An error message showed: Unable to verify the URL is working, please double check and try again. HTTP Code: 500
Can you help me to clear about that..
what i have to do to config CMC component for my joomla?

Hey Leo,
Is your website accessible through the internet? You are not on localhost?
Webhooks won't work on localhost unless your computer is configured to be reachable through the net.

What happens when you enter the copied url directly in the browser? (you should get a blank page) If you are redirected to somewhere else, than maybe it is a SEF problem.

My website accessible through the internet, i am not on localhost.

Hi Leo,
I've been away for the weekend.
I logged in with the ftp credentials that you gave me and I wasn't able to override any of the files - my permissions were not the correct one.

My current suspicion is that you don't have the correct file permissions on all files and folders. The webhooks class is trying to write to an error log when a request comes - but since even the log folder doesn't have the correct permissions I think that it brakes there.

My suggestion is - go to Site -> System Information -> Directory permission -> make sure that everything there is writable. Test it again and if it is not working please make sure that my ftp account has the necessary privileges to override the cmc files and I'll have another look.

Hey Patrick,
Your joomla version is not up to date. You'll need at least joomla 2.5.6 in order for the component to function properly.
Just update the joomla version you have and it will start to work.
