can you implement group management into mailchimp for joomla?

backend:
-choose which groups the user can select (in the subscription form)
-choose which groups the user is subscribed to by default
-check & modify the groups a users is subscribed to

frontend:
-subscription form that contains checkboxes with the groups the user wants to subscribe to

group management is very important functionality. We send emails to people depending on what they are interested in.

the first 2 points are already implemented

hmm, not in the way i see it

choose which groups the user can select (in the subscription form)
-> e.G. if group name is clothes, and then user can choose pants, trousers, socks
actual situation: in the backend group clothes is selected, user can choose to subscribe to pants, trousers, socks
what i would like:
1) in the backend group clothes is selected, and in the backend one can define that pants is checked by default and not shown anymore
So user can choose to subscribe to trousers and socks, and he is subscribed to pants by default

2) in the backend group clothes is selected, and in the backend one can define that pants is not shown shown anymore and not subscribed to
So user can choose to subscribe to trousers and socks, and he is NOT subscribed to pants and pants is not in the list that he can subscribe to

I hope this is clear for you

the first 2 points are already implemented - you can select the groups for the form - if something is required in mailchimp it will be required in the form as well.

Currently you can't modify the groups for a user in the backend, but this will be changed with the next version.

Daniel

You mean the groups that you can create in mailchimp, right? You have this already in the module? Or do you mean something else?
Kind regards,
Daniel
