Hi,

I just wanted to test CTransifex on my local PC (using xampp 1.7.3, Joomla 2.5.8) to find out if I can get it working for the VirtueMart project (I'm one of the volunteers who are taking care of VirtueMart translations). Basically my configuration seems to work, because I can see the available translations from our Transifex project with the blue percentage bars on my screen. But when I click any of the languages links I get:

500 - Something went wrong
Something went wrong
Call stack
# Function Location
1 JSite->dispatch() JROOT\index.php:42
2 JError::raiseError() JROOT\includes\application.php:208
3 JError::raise() JROOT\libraries\joomla\error\error.php:251
--------------------

If I click i.e. on the "german (Germany)" language pack link, the url
http://localhost/mysite/en/vm-translations?task=download.download&language=9
(Same link but non-sef:
http://localhost/mysite/index.php?option=com_ctransifex&task=download.download&language=59&Itemid=340&lang=en)
leads to the above 500 error.
The language file folders holding the zip files are actually placed in the folder:
...mysite\media\com_ctransifex\packages\virtuemart

Might be a dumb question, but does anybody have an idea what I might be missing to get the links working? (Maybe it's a Joomla problem)
I don't see errors in the error log.

Happy New Year

JK

Hi Daniel,

I just tested again on a fresh Joomla 2.5.8 without sample data and there it works out of the box. Still no idea what the problem is on my other installation, but that's a Joomla problem I suppose.

I think I'll discuss using CTransifex on virtumart.net with the chief developers soon.

Update: We'll most likely replace our current Transifex language pack distribution system with CTransifex, which looks nicer :), but before that the team has to finish the update from J1.5 to current Joomla.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately the three lines mentioned above already are the complete Joomla debug stack.

Something went wrong
Call stack
# Function Location
1 JSite->dispatch() JROOT\index.php:42
2 JError::raiseError() JROOT\includes\application.php:208
3 JError::raise() JROOT\libraries\joomla\error\error.php:251

Firebug doesn't catch any errors either. I think I should try with a fresh Joomla installation (no other components) and see if the result is the same. Firebug doesn't catch any errors either.

Could you enable joomla's debug modus and have and give me a stack trace when the error happens?
Regards,
Daniel
