TOPIC: no comments in articles at all

Hello,

I have installed joomlacomment4.0.0beta2.zip on my joomla 1.5.9, installation was successful, but when viewins my artciles, I do not see anything that says comments so usrs can leave their comments or vote, i watched the installation tutorial but still no luck.

Please help me out, I will defintaley donate for the site if this is successul because Its been days I was looking for some utilitu that will let my visitors leaves a comment.

I think I fixed it, please correct me if Im wrong, in order for the comment box to appear, I have to Exclude/Include items Ids: ???

Setting it to Exclude and selecting no ID's/Categories should be enough. Choosing Include and leaving everything blank means 'Include nothing', someone made this honest mistake before

please look at my setting and see if i need to change anything

You also need to hold CTRL and left-click on the Sections and Categories you want to Include since you have Article ID's provided, just CTRL+click on all of them - it will still only show on those articles you specify.

I had to register new account cuz the previous one wont let me login, i tried the generated pw and still,

so back to the thread, I did not udertand the fact of highliting the entries and ids. cna you please explain to me more. I got to the setting box and i see a lot of options include/exllude
Ids, Sections and Categories criteria
Exclude/Include sections: static content, news, blog
etc....

what DO I do if I want the commentd to be published evetywhere, without having to go thru and select each itemID

If INCLUDE, this will allow comments for items which are: IN selected Ids OR IN selected sections OR IN selected categories.
If EXCLUDE, this will not allow comments for items which are: IN selected Ids OR IN selected sections OR IN selected categories.

If you want to allow comments on EVERYTHING, set it to 'Exclude' but leave it all blank - like this screenshot shows.

I have set the com content as shown on the picture, but I dont see the comments everywhere, only on articles I think.
Does it suppose to be shwon on articles only? maybe thats why?

I don't understand... Is that with another Joomla extension? It was a serious question, explain where else you'd like comments to appear and we might be able to help or give some more info at least

well I do have some wrapped links on my websites, such as music, movies etc.. that were not created as articles.

TRy to uncheck exclude/include "noticias", clean the system cache and try to view the articles

I switched to "include", and it's working fine.

So are you using specific Joomla extensions for your videos and such or is it custom code...?

The main reason I joined JoomlaComment here to help out was for the simple reason to help it grow. I've been building my website for months, and it will eventually contain lots of rich multimedia from music to image galleries to video galleries - I plan to write plugins for whichever extensions I end up using (what I find to be the most powerful, flexible, fastest, one) so in some time there will hopefully be more plugins for some of the popular Joomla content extensions.

Although the sad news is, unless the plugin is extremely simple, chances are they'll all be listed in the Marketplace for a couple of Euro but right now Daniel's working hard on bug fixing while I continue to test and provide support, and design the templates.
