I run a private Joomla site with selected articles posted to the FrontPage with Public permissions. This means it is viewable both internally to logged-on registered users and the un-logged public side of the site as well. I do not want internal comments to be readable by un-logged unregistered users for any articles that get PUBLIC permissions set. The public should be able to read the article if I make it possible but the comment engine should allow me to protect comments from reading except by selected groups (registered, authors, editors, publishers, et-cetera), but allow me to enable or disable all groups for viewing as I choose for security reasons.
