I currently have the core dev release version git_242af68 installed on a live site for a client of mine.

Now I want to update to the latest stable release CComment Pro 5.0.1.

The live site already has comments and I want to be sure that I don't mess up anything with the update.

When I go to live update, it says: You already have the latest version.
Installed version: git_242af68
Latest version: blank
Latest release date: blank
Direct download URL: blank

Can I use live update of your component or should I use the Joomla installer?

Please advise for the safest way to update. Thank you.
