I'd like to propose the following:

Support of avatars of others components [jomsocial, kunena, AlphaUserPoints, between others, including gravatar]

And about permisisons, i've seen in jcomments a permission option which, depending of your ocupation in site [super amd, amd, un/registered user] you can add/retire use of, for example, bold, italic, posting images on comments, videos, etc
