I am wanting to use CMC to create a 'subscribe to download' module on my website. I know I can do this if I have potential customers register on my joomla site, and check the box for 'newsletter' subscribe, however I want something much simpler. This is what I would like (which I've seen on numerous websites so I know it's possible!):
1. Potential customer signs up on my website by entering their email address, and clicking ’send.' This would be via CMC.
2. A webpage opens saying something like “You’re almost there! Please confirm your email……”
3. The customer receives an email from mailchimp with a download link.
4. The customer clicks on the download link in the email, which takes them to a webpage where they click again on a link that begins the download of 2 files - a pdf and an mp3.
I know how to do all of it up to step 4. This is the step I could use some help with. How would you recommend doing step 4, with only using CMC as the sign up module?
Thanks for the help.

I found another module that is able to do what I am wanting. I'm also using CMC for signing up.
