With a fresh install of the Core version, one cannot disable the map feature. Normally it shouldn't be enabled (because it's pro) so the option is disabled. But default_mapbuttons.php:32 enables the button by default. This is probably a typo.

Workaround: removing the disabled attribute in the options HTML, then saving the "No" helps.
