Resolved Removing cache

 There are an unusually high amount of storage being used by the cache. Is there any reason I cannot delete the files in it? The files are in:

media/com_hotspots/cache - can I empty it? 296.02 megs, full of js files. Is there any way to stop these files from overloading the site?
