I really can't see the meaning of the QR codes in the printed lists unless all participants are exported to another system (don't know which). There is probably a huge potential in using this in large events. I have an idea I hope could be considered:
If the organizer prints out some cards for the participants and they carry them at the event, they could be scanned by a barcode scanner and automatically be registered in Matukio as attended. Letting participants sign on the printed list is good enough for small events but not really an option for larger events. If there could be some kind of system in the backend of Matukio to verify the appearance of participants either by enter their ID, checking them in the list or best of all scanning them if would be awful!
Turning an option on in the backend and just scanning and scanning and scanning, and in the end have a complete list of who appeared at the event and who did not. I dream!!
What do you say?
