I am migrating a 1.5 Joomla site to 1.7. It's complicated to get it all right but so far it's working OK. I have about 380 comments total on the site and it would nice if I could migrate them too. I've installed the new Compojoom comments OK - thank you - and I have an idea of how to migrate comments. First note that the original 1.5 site is still running - the new 1.7 site is on a separate URL (for now). What if (using PHPMyAdmin) I exported comments from the old site, did some fancy footwork to make sure the content ID was correct for the new site then imported the SQL into the new site's MySQL table? Is there any problem with this? Or am I stuck starting afresh with comments?
