Resolved instaling modules to 1.5.9

I'm trying to install JoomlaComment 3.26 onto Joomla 1.5.9. The module installer doesn't seem to work when I go to the zipped file (it seems like that's what it's designed to do) and I don't see an obvious place to ftp the files. I've read a bunch of tutorials, but I have not seen a basic "how to install a module" one. Can somebody either point me or help me please?
