Resolved index.html still a valid check?

Hi there,

I saw this extension in the JED and it was mentioned that it checks for an index.html file in every directory. I thought such a file is not necessary anymore?

The requirement was dropped by JED:

http://community.joomla.org/blogs/leadership/1737-the-jed-indexhtml-requirement-dropped.html
