Resolved Image or PDF Instead of Map

Hello,

I need the functionality of HotSpots, but I need to do this on an image or a PDF instead of on a Google Map. Is it possible to use HotSpots to place markers on a PDF or an image - in this case, 2 dimensional architectural drawings? Thank you for your help!
