The download goes well and installation starts, but then I get the following messages:

------------------------------------------------
Component Install: DB function reports no errors
Error installing component
------------------------------------------------

The component appears in the components menu in my back-end, but if I select the menu or any of the sub-menus, I get the following:

------------------------------------------------
Warning: require_once(/home/griz/public_html/administrator/components/com_comment/comment.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/griz/public_html/libraries/joomla/application/component/helper.php on line 383

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/griz/public_html/administrator/components/com_comment/comment.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/griz/public_html/libraries/joomla/application/component/helper.php on line 383
------------------------------------------------

It almost looks like I'm missing a couple of files from my Joomla installation. Is that possible? Or if not, can you tell what the problem is?

Thanks for your assistance.

Steve
