I was trying unpublish and/or delete several items at the same time, and received an Error 1241 which only gave me the option to go back to the Control Panel. I've attached an image of the screen. Later I went back and attempted to unpublish each item one by one, and that worked. My method was using the listing of events, selecting the particular event, and hitting the unpublish button at the top. Nothing was unpublished or deleted in either instance.

Please tell me if this is a known issue or if it's something I'm doing wrong.
