First I'd like to thank you for a MailChimp and Joomla solution to allow people to subscribe for my MailChimp newsletter while remaining on my Joomla website.

It does work.
However, in your code you call to your own website.
This is causing my RocketTheme template to not allow me admin access to manage the template.
I've just ensured that I'm up to date on the Gantry framework, that my template is current and I just downloaded the most recent version of the CMC Joomla.

When I attempt to access the template via the admin panel I get this error:

An error has occurred.

0 Could not connect to resource: https://compojoom.com/index.php?option=com_ars&view=update&task=stream&format=xml&id=13&dummy=extension.xml

I'm wondering why a call back to your own URL is necessary?
I've seen Joomla Extensions get removed from the Joomla Extension Directory for such action.
Is it really necessary?
Why is the code not complete if so?

Can this be commented out and the solution still function?
I'd love to continue using your tool, but I also have to access my Template Admin Features.
Even when I disable your Module, the error still persists.
Any thoughts ??
