Hi, I am testing out CComment Core now and I really like it. I will probably be purchasing the Pro version. But I do have a few questions.
[ul]
[li]Where are you storing email addresses for people making comments?[/li]
[li]I assume if the person is logged in to my site, you use the email address in my J! database User table, right?[/li]
[li]But what in the case of an unregistered guest who wants to be notified of further posts in a thread? You are storing that in a table you create for the extension? Will I have any control over this table? Or will it just grow indefinitely for the lifetime of the site for as long as I am using the extension?[/li]
[li]What happens if someone is not a registered member of my site and starts out posting as a guest, specifying their email address and requesting notification of futher posts─then later this person registers as a user on my site? From that point on, you use the email address they registered with on my site?[/li]
[/ul]
I don't know how important the answers to these questions are, but I do worry about the MySQL tables growing forever without any sort of maintenance or oversight. Have you given this issue any thought and any remedies in the CComment Pro extension?
Thanks in advance,
Zy
