this relates to the planned "sub-categories" addition, but is something we could use already now:

if you add categories as the need arises or when people in your forum suggest:

[ol]food
drinks
dancing
pub
[/ol]

then people suggest you need to have pizza, italian, chinese as food categories - you'd currently label them as

[ol]food-generic
food-pizza
food-italian
food-chinese
[/ol]

but, in the categories view they'd be shown in the order you've added the categories in.

Looks pretty ugly that way...

The same way as in Joomla's content manager (http://www.YOURDOMAIN.COM/administrator/index.php?option=com_content )
