Hi Daniel,
first of all, congrats for the new extension 4.0.5!!. Really amazing...
Please, let us to make few questions on how to take advantage about the new features:
- How to call "My location" from a link or button?.
- How to take the values of "My location"? Could we have the state or city of this location? (We want to share this value into a cookie to be used by other components on the site)
- How to share the array of spots found into a map? (We need to pass the list to other component to publish additional contents related with.
- How to pass several directions to the component to show the route between them? (Normally they should be long&lat values)

And two errors shown in our site (maybe due to mistakes in our configuration):
- There're no bubbles shown (FF & IE) when we click on a marker. It appears an standard red marker and details of the marker are shown at right.

- On mobile phones It's not shown the button to compact the contents area. It seems hidden for small screens.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best Regards
David

Hey David,
"My location" - Do you mean "find my location". Why do you need to have this as a different button?
If the user provides his location, we store it in a cookie. Currently we store the address and use it later with the google geocoder, but the plan is to also store the coordinates in the cookie. The cookie name is hs-my-location.

- What do you mean with share the array of hotspots? Do you want the js array or what? The locations are stored in your database and you can access them any time with a custom application.

- there are no triggers for location search. The user has to type into the fields and hit the search button.

- the missing bubble is not an error. Read here why it was removed and why it is not coming back: compojoom.com/blog/entry/changes-coming-up-with-hotspots-4

- yep, that is a known issue. I'm working on fixing the mobile view for hotspots 4.1

Regards,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,
we need a diferent button that we'll place in a relevant part of the screen because is related on how users could found their close places using mobile. Currently on mobile, or in desktop, "find my location" is placed into the map but thinking on user experience with the site we prefer to put as a relevant option.

Related with the array of hotspots we're talking about the list of hotspots contained into the map that we're visualizing. We need to know which hotspots are shown to pass the list to the component that will show more details in other part of the screen.

Related with directions search with stop overs our question is, Do we have any javascript code that we could include into and article or K2 document to write the Directions with the route into the map?

For the rest of questions, OK for missing bubble....could be a good option to leave as an option for the admin on next versions ??!!
OK for mobile view on 4.1 version.

Thanks for your help.
David
