TOPIC: Step by Step instructions for upgrading to 4.0 RC1?

Hi,

I installed V3.2.6 of !JoomlaComment on a site some time ago and I wish to upgrade to 4.00 RC1 as soon as possible.

I was hoping to find an idiots guide to the steps involved in doing this but I can´t seem to find one on the site or in the forum. Please could someone point me in the right direction.

To update:
1.Make a backup.
2. check if under components->joomlacomment->content settings the option for complete uninstall is set to no
3. Uninstall the component
4. Install the new one

also make sure that you have php5.2 and mysql5. Otherwise you could have problems.

Many thanks for the swift response. All seems to be working OK. Next step for me is to take advantage of the latest comments module now I have moved up to 4.00.

well the latest comment module was working for 3.26 too
