Hi,

I'll use HotSpots pro with custom fields to display around 1200 spots.
They are part of a database containing a lot of data for each spot. They are regularly updated with a pretty complex validation workflow.
Everything is setup with the Fabrik extension (poor name for this tremendous AppBuilder) and works nicely. However their Gmap plugin cannot endorse more than some dozen of spots without being very slow. Also the User Experience is not as pleasant as your dev.

Every night I'll update the HotSpot tables with fresh data from Fabrik. Probably adding a custom field in HotSpot to maintain a foreign key to the fabrik rows in order to avoid recharging everything... may be. It should be relatively easy and efficient. I've made some promising tests.

Since the categories won't change often, I will let the manual management through the HotSpot BO menus.

My question is mainly concerning images. In HotSpots they are managed in a separate table with obfuscated names. It there an available method or helper function I could use to update/add image to the hotspot from my script ?

May be also such a method/function to add/modify a given hotspot ? A kind of API usage ?

Generally speaking, do you hare remarks or recommandations about what I want to achieve ?

Thanks,

Laurent
