TOPIC: Blank Avatar Image for Anonymous Users in CComment

Hi,

I downloaded the Core version of CComment to try it out. It seems like a well thought out extension, for the most part.

There is a blank avatar beside the "Leave a comment" field. If a user does not have or does not want to have a Gravatar (like myself), they are likely to assume that the blank avatar will show up when their post is approved. That's what I assumed.

However, CComment inserts the word "avatar" beside the post, not a blank avatar as expected. The word "avatar" looks ridiculous beside the post, almost as though the software has a glitch.



Not everyone has a Gravatar or chooses to have a Gravatar.

How can I get a blank avatar to show up beside the post for those who have no interest in Gravatar, like myself?

You are on localhost and that's why you see this. If you install this on a real domain, then you would see the "no avatar" image. Problems is that we provide a link for the "noavatar" image to gravatar. The link is pointing to your localhost and gravatar can't access the image.
