Hi,

I'm helping out with the local addiction charity, and they are looking to build public information website with events management and email invitations.
I've been looking through the various extensions available for Joomla, however I have not been able to see the exact functionality were looking for listed, so I thought I would ask you for some information.

Our requirements are as follows.
1. Event organisation and listing of the event on the site.
2. The ability to upload our contact database.
3. The ability to send emails to contacts from the database inviting them to events.
4. The ability for an embedded link within the email, which the user can simply click to register their attendance at the event. The user should not have to register on the website.
5. The ability to track who’s registered and resend invitations to those who have not completed the registration.

I myself, do have PHP web development skills and have built a number of Joomla websites previously, however I don't have massive amounts of time to dedicate to this project, and I'm therefore looking for an extension which will meet the requirements as closely as possible and reduce the amount of development or tailoring the solution to meet the needs.

Any assistance and guidance will be much appreciated.
Many thanks in advance
Dazz

Hi Darren,

1.) Possible
2.) Depends on the format etc. and what you plan to do with it. Possible not (this is always a custom code solution)
3.) This is also possible in Matukio when you have them as normal joomla users (or pseudo users)
4.) This is not possible
5.) Also not.

What you are looking for is probably more a custom development solution and nothing for a extension :-) Or you can just use an extension like Matukio as starting point to save some time.
