How do I provide my users with a "Submit a location" feature? i.e. As per the demo (see attached)
Sorry for the duplicate posting but I've not had any response from the original Newbie posting.
What I'm after is the config required to allow users to the front-end of my site to be able to create a new hotspot.
I've only installed the core features and wanted to test this out to see if It was easy to do. Checked the documentation but can't find anything that allows my users to do this.
Any ideas?
Rob

Hey Rob,
You need the PRo version of the component. After that just create a new menu entry that points to "hotspots -> create hotspot" and you will get the same view as on our demo site.

Daniel

Thanks Daniel.
Update: I've just bought the Pro copy and will have a good play with it. Looks pretty good and hope it should meet my needs. If it doesn't, I'd like to be able to suggest enhancements that do.
Regards, Rob

Can you confirm how the user adding hotspot feature actually works? i.e.
(a) Do the users have to be registered with Google or something?
(b) I'd like to be able to provide anonymous users to be able to add hotspots - is this an option?
(c) I'd like users to be able to modify/edit only their hotspots - is this an option?
(d) I'd like users to be able to configure whether their hotspots can receive comment or edits from other users - is this an option?
Regards,
Rob

Hey guys,

@rob sorry - I didn't see that you had more questions.

Sooooo.

a) Users doesn't have to beregistered with google. They can be either registered on your site or be anonymous.
b) Yes you can do that
c) You can't do this with anonymous users, but if the users who submit locations are registered members of your site, then yes you can
d) No, there is no option for this. You can use the "author of item is moderator" option in CComment to make the author of a Hotspot moderator on the comments that are posted for this hotspot, but he won't be able to completly disable the form.

Regards,
Daniel
