I'm loving the settings and options in the back-end of this component and am hoping to use it on another site but I am disappointed with the lack of menu item views/layouts available. Are there any plans to add a category view? This should work like standard Joomla view, showing a list/table or blog layout.

Thanks

Hi Andrew,

almost every view offers the possibility to only show selected categories. What kind of additional layout would you like to have? ;)

Kind regards,

Yves

Hi Yves
I guess the best description is a Category List view, Blog Layout.
I would like the top level menu link to be a category list view, showing the main category title, description and image and the sub-categories beneath (not the actual events).

Here is an example of our other website that does this:
goldcross-training.tagtesting.co.uk/citb

(you'll need to view it this way first due to the site being offline - goldcross-training.tagtesting.co.uk/?key=tag )

The sub-categories (CITB SMSTS Course, CITB SSSTS Course etc ) are displayed beneath, not the actual events. Each title is a link to 'Available Events' within that category (I have seen this done via an 'Available Events' button.

The child item menu link is set to display all events within that category (Eventlist).
goldcross-training.tagtesting.co.uk/citb/smsts

I'm not sure that makes sense or makes it sound even more complicated!?

Cheers

Andy
