TOPIC: Select events depending on age of team

Hi!

I am very interested in buying this compontent. It seems perfect for our needs.

We are planning to set up a site where clubs can submit their cups (soccer, icehockey etc). Is it possible to add extra fields where they can select what ages the cups are for?

Example:
An organizer (a club) submits a soccer cup for kids that are born 2001 . They should to tag this from a list (like: 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, etc) when he adds the cup. Then the cup is "tagged" with 2001.

The user (a coach) should then be able to find a cup depending on the age of his team. He must filter the cups so he only see cups for kids that are born 2001. As a coach you only want to see cups that are for kids in a certain age.

I hope you understand what I mean

sorry for the late response - custom event specific fields (for showing in the frontend, filtering etc.) are going to come with Matukio 5.2 (End of February / March)

If we install the component now, then there should be no problem to upgrade version and get this feature when the next version is out. Right?

Hi Ola,

yes, you can directly update to the next version (directly with the integrated joomla updater - no need to make any changes / downloads for that).

Will we be able to hide the event custom fields from the public?
The purpose of that would be taking notes about each event for internal purposes.

In the meantime I think I can use the Adittional Settings, I don't know if there is a tag for an access level or to restrict to a user.

Yes, you can choose where to show them (including nowhere).
