TOPIC: Hotspots - map and marker creation va DB

Hello,

I have read over the documentation and support tickets but cannot find any info on what import options are available for map and marker creation.

Also is it possible to automate the creation of maps and it's makers by directly manipulating the database? If so what is the database structure? One table per map, etc?

I haven't been able to write any importer scripts yet. I've planned at least csv import for the begining.
You can actually still use that trick here compojoom.com/forum/138-tricks/16485-imp...ough-phpmyad-v-2-0-5 to import data into hotspots

About the databse structure -> you can download hotspots core and have a look at the tables -> they are the same as in the pro version.

Thanks for your reply and that post, very helpful.

I plan for each user of my site to have multiple maps, they will import the markers for these maps. Therefore nothing will be manually entered by the user, they will import the markers and i will load them into the DB and create a new map via code.

Do let me know if you have any advise.

Hey Tim,
Well, you cannot create multiple maps. You have 1 map that shows the hotspots from category A, B, C etc.

I see, could I have a category per user and limit their view to their category?

Would be a shame not to use your product, surprised I did not notice this when reading your documentation and watching your videos!
