TOPIC: Presale: Hotspots and Jomsocial

Hi,
I want to map all my Jomsocial users into a MAP (30k) and load the map fast (5secs or less).

Is your component able to auto locate the user (or use the GPS info already stored in Jomsocial) and display a map with all my nearby users?

Well, 30k locations are no issue for hotspots. You can look at our demo site - we have 90k locations in one of the categories. The problem is the way the jomsocial integration is written. We add the user location only when the user updates his profile, or a user creates a new profile. So your existing 30k users won't be shown on the map, until they edit their profiles.

Thanks for the quick response. Can't you use the date already store in Jomsocial?

It's an autoupdate plugin? I mean can I set it so everytime the user enters in the profile the location is automatically updated? If no, can I pay to customise it in this way?

Also is there a list display of the users as I see with the places?
I ask you because I couln't find a demo of Jomsocial users location

Hey Carla,

As I said in my first reply - the plugin works on save & update. So whenever the user updates his information we geocode the information and store it in the hotspots table.

We don't have a list display, just a map currently.
