Hello.
We want to buy Matukio for our site but because we had a bad experience with a previously purchased software want to ask you some questions about the software before buying it.
-1- Is it possible to have unlimited event promoters ( organisers ) to be able to upload the events from the front end?
-2- Can each event be edited from the front end only by the promoter that has upload the event?
-3- Can the Matukio component to be set up so events has to be approved before been publish?
-4- Can we setup in the back-end so on each event an additional £2 or a % will be added to the cost of the ticket?
-5- Can videos be added to an event?
-6- Here demo.compojoom.com/matukio on the event list you have 2 events with picture but when we click on the event to see the details we do not see the picture. Can that be added? Can each event have it's on picture/video gallery?
-7- On the demo page you have only one module, the "Upcoming events" module, and it is without pictures. Can that module also have pictures for each event? Do you have any other modules for the Matukio component?
Thank you for your time.

Hi Adrian,

1.) Yes you can have unlimited event organizers.
2.) Yes, if you want it otherwise there is also a setting for that.
3.) Currently not, have that on my todo-list for one of the next versions (setting) - would require chaning one (!) line of code.
4.) For every ticket? Not sure what you mean?
5.) You can embed any HTML you like (including access level support, e.g. content for registered or paid participants).
6.) You can add any HTML to the event description including images - because we want the design as you like. You can also use modules, plugins in the event description (to create image galleries) etc.
7.) We have no module which supports images currently, Matukio comes with 5 different modules (One old all in one, One calendar module, One upcoming events and one booking form module)

On the left side of the demo page you find also our live demo, where you get your own Joomla instance including backend access - so you can test all features of Matukio.

Kind regards,

Yves

First of all : Thank you for your incredible fast answer! :) I was not expecting that :)
Regarding the question 4: We want to give different event organizers the opportunity to sell their tickets through our website so when they create an event they will set the ticket price but we want to add an additional booking fee to that price. Can that be setup from the backend to be added automatically?

Hmm, i fear not without changing the code. You can "abuse" taxes (if you don't need them) for that, but they are also by default included in the fee (gross value).

Kind regards,

Yves

No taxes can only have percentage values. Later down you mentioned percent OR pound.

Thank you for all your answers and for your fast reply.
I'm satisfied with the answers you give, now it's up to my boss :) but I'm 95% sure that we will buy your component.
You can close this topic.
Thank you.
