TOPIC: Can Matukio be used without the booking system

Hi I have just been through the demo at demo.compojoom.com/matukio/upcoming-events and was very impressed. But I have a question:

The website I would like to use this for is a forthcoming events page for events in our local community which are normally free. My question is, is it easy to disable the booking function on this software? Please advise.

What do you mean with disable? People are able to register for free events and they won't have to provide any bank details, paypal or whatever if you configure this in the component

What I mean when I say disable, is not use the register for event area whatsoever. Its for a forthcoming events page for a community magazine. People basically tell us about events they're holding in the local area and we display it onto our website.

I hope this explains a bit clearer. Basically we don't need the booking module for what we need.

On our demo page on the left you'll see a live demo options where you will get access to the backend of the extension.
You can set the booking places to 0 and the event should be shown as "not bookable online". If that is not a good solution, you can set the booking button as hidden with css or remove it completely from the template with a template override and I guess that this would be enough.
