TOPIC: Can I set defaults? Can features be switched off?

1) Is it possible to set the right-hand toolbox to be closed by default?
2) Is it possible to have all tabs shown by default?
3) Is it possible to disable the tabs across the top of the component, and in the right-hand toolbox - requiring all tabs to always be shown.
4) Are the other tools removable as well (Google mini map, print, pan controls, etc.)? I'm wondering how versatile this component is - if I wanted simplicity, could I strip this down to the level of the Google Maps API Preview? developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/

3) if you remove the cats from the top how are you going to navigate? You can remove nearly all elements from the right toolbar. With css you can hide the rest
4) We have both a free version that you can test & our demo page has a live demo option. With the live demo you can test the PRO version on joomla 3.2.1 installation and you can play around with it.

With point 4 in mind I think that you can create a page like the gmaps demo.

3) if I remove the cats there won't be any need to navigate. Everything should just be shown all the time.
4) for my current site, I don't really need to strip things down that much. I'm just looking for an all-inclusive solution. If I can't customize what's shown with simple configuration parameters, I might as well go with a different component that already has simplicity. Maybe in future versions, you can create params for the different tools.

5) I find the show all categories checkbox to be slightly un-intuitive. While you select the individual categories by tabs, wouldn't it make sense to have this control be a tab too?
6) What happens when there are 10 categories? Are they all shown or crowded out? Is it possible to use a dropdown instead?
7) Can I login to the demo page to try the backend?

Hey Adam,
As I said above - we have a free version that you can download, install, play with and it will give you a pretty good idea what is in the PRO version. On our demo site there is a live demo option! On the right of the page -> you will get your own joomla installation with hotspots PRO installed on it. So you can again play with it and see what is possible.

3) ok - there is an option to remove the cats & search.

5) No, it wouldn't make sense
6) When there are 10 cats -> we will show 200 markers in big icons and a lot of small markers if you have more than 200 locations

7) look again at what I wrote at the beginning of this post.
