Hello.

I am thinking about buying hotspots but I have a question first.

I see that it's possible to have a user submit a marker. I did that successfully here .

But now that the page there exists, is it possible for someone else (say a logged in user) to then search for that number, and then move the marker on that page to a new location, and have the map show both the new marker and the old with a line?

And then from there, a third user moves the marker, and eventually on that page, you see the marker's path?

Basically our idea is to track a card and have user's comment, tell their story etc, about where they found it.

So I guess is that somehow possible through Hotspots?

Thanks!

Hey Todd,
Unfortunately that is not possible. That would require some code modifications to hotpsots. It is not something that the component supports out of the box.

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

Is it something that could be done for a fee? We would pay to have that developed. Please let me know if that is something you do.

Thank you.
Todd

Can you send me full specs to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ? The part that worries me is - draw a line between the old and the new one. AS far I understand it - you want to draw a line between every old hotspot. So this would mean that we would need to keep a flag of the relationship between the hotspots, which makes it a little more complicated and would mean that I'll need to hack the db & this on its own would mean that most probably we won't be able to update hotspots anymore.
But send me the specs first and I'll think about it.

Thanks,
Daniel
